Welcome!

PPG for Morons is the wacky powered paragliding world of the worst paramotor pilot out there. Keep in touch with the moron Paul, a friendly flying disaster that just wants to have fun, if everything didn't always go wrong.

Help him out as he travels around the nation making comedy videos (some of which are even funny) and the occasional cool "flying" video. He will be collecting awesome paragliding pictures, and gathering amazing stories (don't believe a word of it). He needs all of the help he can get.

Thanks for stopping by my new website.

Why does the powered paragliding moron need a website, you might ask yourself?paulwriteecolor

First of all, I wanted to have all of the moron videos in one easy to find place and without some of the restrictions of YouTube.

Secondly, I thought it would be a more personal way to keep in touch with all of you great "PPG people" out there that have made PPG for Morons such a success. A lot of people write in with questions and suggestions-- don't hesitate to do so. The moron needs all of the help he can get.

And lastly, I travel to as many fly-ins as my wallet allows and it would be a shame to keep all of the pictures, information, and stories that I collect all to myself.

So have fun and explore the website. Help me build it up. Share an amazing PPG story. Send in that stunning picture that you took, let me know how you paramotor in your neck of the woods. And remember the moron's motto, "Don't do anything stupid (unless the camera is rolling)."

PARATOYS international powered paragliding convention.

I was so BUSY on the ground that I only managed TWO flights  each day. (That's pretty bad since you can fly ALL day long.)

Many other paramotor pilots, including the Indy Airhogs, the Aussies, the Brits, the French, the Puerto Ricans, and the Czechs (of Nirvana paramotor craziness fame) had MANY more flights and long distance adventures.
To describe some of their adventures would take several pages and articles. Luckily, many of their adventures were recorded on their video cameras. Just Google "Salton Sea 2011" and you can find most of them. (Except for the 3 Indy Airhog pilots that went on a 6 hour flight to Slab City-- they didn't take video-- they were just happy to get back).
(Just between you and me, the 'moron' also co-hosted the big banquet [with Michelle Danielle ] AND he sang a song. But we don't want to talk about the moron's singing since some of you may have weak stomachs...)

It seemed like I was just trying to get GAS and START my motor the whole time....
